Departed Gibraltar to patrol off Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Upon completion of the patrol she was to proceed to Malta.

Departed Malta to patrol off Tripoli, Libya.

Fifth Patrol - 8th January 1941.

Sixth Patrol - 29th January 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off Kerkenah, Tunisia.
5th February - Attacked an Italian convoy off Kerkenah, Tunisia. Four torpedoes were fired at a 4000 tons merchant vessel but all missed the target.
8th February - Ended patrol at Malta.

Seventh Patrol - 19th February 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off Kerkenah, Tunisia.
23rd February - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Silvia Tripcovich near the Kerkenah Bank.
25th February -
Torpedoed and sank the Italian light cruiser Armando Diaz near the Kerkenah Bank. An Italian destroyer is missed in the same attack.
26th February - Ended patrol at Malta.

Eighth Patrol - 6th March 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off Tripoli, Libya.
12th March - Attacked an enemy convoy. Two torpedoes were fired at the largest of the two merchant vessels. No hits were obtained.
15th March - Ended patrol at Malta.

Ninth Patrol - 29th March 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol between Kerkennah, Tunisia and Tripoli, Libya.
31st March - Torpedoed and damaged the German merchant Galilea North-West of Tripoli, Libya.
8th April - Attacked an enemy convoy about 100 nautical miles North-North-West of Tripoli, Libya. No hits were obtained.
These were probably the liners Esperia, Conte Rosso, Marco Polo and Victoria, escorted by the destroyers Luca Tarigo, Euro, Baleno and Lampo.
9th April - Ended patrol at Malta.

Tenth Patrol - 27th April 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol between Kerkennah, Tunisia and Tripoli, Libya.
11th May - Ended patrol at Malta.

Eleventh Patrol - 24th May 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off Calabria, Italy. She also carried a raiding party to blow up a railway ashore if the opportunity occured.
27th May - Landed a raiding party near Torre Ellera, Calabria, Italy to sabotage a railway. The party succesfully planted bombs, later a rumbling noise was heard on the shore that was thought to be a train blowing up.
4th June - Ended patrol at Malta.

Twelfth Patrol - 15th June 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol between the Kerkennah shallows and Lampion Island.
28th June - Ended patrol at Malta.

Thirteenth Patrol - 28th June 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol South of the Strait of Messina to intercept possible Vichy-French reinforcements for Syria.
3rd July - Ended patrol at Malta.

Fourteenth Patrol - 20th July 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol between Capo Dell Armi and Capo Spartivento off the South coast of Calabria, Italy to give cover for convoy operation Substance.
24th July - Fired two torpedoes at an Italian floating dry-dock off Cape dell'Armi.
28th July - Ended patrol at Malta.

Fifteenth Patrol - 24th August 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off Isola di Marettimo. Only destroyers were seen.
3rd September - Ended patrol at Malta.

Sixteenth Patrol - 16th September 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol the approaches to Tripoli, Libya to intercept an important enemy troop convoy.
20th September - Ended patrol at Malta.

Seventeenth Patrol - 22nd September 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol North of Sicily.
27th September - Torpedoed and sank the Italian torpedo boat Albatros north-west of Cape Rasocolmo near Milazzo, Sicily.
Attacked an escorted merchant vessel off Cape Milazzo. No hits were obtained.
4th October - Ended patrol at Malta.

Eighteenth Patrol - 14th October 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off the South-East coast of Sicily.
16th October - Ended patrol at Malta.

Nineteenth Patrol - 19th October 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol off the North-West coast of Sicily between Marettimo Island and Cape San Vito.
30th October - Ended patrol at Malta.

Twentieth Patrol - 11th November 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol in the Ionian Sea.
17th November - Attacked a convoy about 50 nautical miles West of Cephalonia Island, Greece. No hits were obtained.
25th November - Ended patrol at Malta.

Twentyfirst Patrol - 4th December 1941.
Departed Malta to patrol South of the Strait of Messina.
9th December - Ordered to a new patrol position in the Gulf of Taranto.
13th December - Torpedoed and sank the Italian transports Fabio Filzi and Carlo del Greco in the Gulf of Taranto.
18th December - Ended patrol at Malta.

Twentysecond Patrol - 1st January 1942.
Departed Malta to patrol between Lampedusa and the Kerkennah shallows.
4th January - Ordered to a new patrol position, East of Tripoli, Libya.
5th January - Ordered to return to her original patrol area.
8th January - Patrol abandoned due to a serious defect. Returned to Malta.
9th January - Ended patrol at Malta. 14th January 1942 - Shot down a German aircraft during an air raid.
