Fate:
Completed twelve war patrols, she was lost on her thirteenth patrol.

Took part in the Operation 'Iron Ring'.

Sank the Italian submarine Jantina in the Mediterranean on 5th July 1941.

Brought 120 British troops back from Alexandria in August of 1941 who had hidden in Crete since the end of the fighting there on 1st July.

March 1942 entered Corfu harbour and spent 20 hours in the harbour before sinking one ship and damaging another. This was the action for which Miers was awarded the VC.

Torbay was also responsible for sinking one destroyer, two tankers, a schooner and three supply caiques during her first Mediterranean patrol.

In total Torbay sank 17 merchants ships totalling 38,000 tons plus 5 warships and 24 sailing vessels.
