Completed twentytwo War Patrols, six in the Far East.

14th June 1941 - Departed Holy Loch for Gibraltar.
20th June 1941 - Arrived Gibraltar.

First patrol - 22nd June to 9th July 1941.
Carrying stores for Malta enroute to Alexandria and patrolling the Italian and West coast of Greece.
29th June 1941 - Arrived Malta, unloads stores then continues her patrol.
9th July 1941 - Arrived Alexandria.

Second patrol - 22nd July to 31st July 1941.
To land an agen on Crete then evacuate stranded troops. On completion to patrol the Aegean.
28th July 1941 - Picks up 78 people from Crete, being too overcrowded to continue the patrol she abandons her second patrol.
31st July 1941 - Arrived Alexandria.

Third patrol - 6th August to 27th August 1941.
Patrol the Aegean.
15th August 1941 - Attacked a German transport, the Bulgaria (1188 GRT), fired four torpedoes, all missed the target.
20th August 1941 - Sank the Greek sailing vessel San Stefano with gunfire off Cape Malea, Greece.
27th August 1941 - Arrived Alexandria.

Fourth patrol - 10th September to 1st October 1941.
To patrol the Gulf of Sirte. Has to return to Alexandria due to a defective periscope and departed Alexandria on the 12th September.
23rd September 1941 - Attacks a convoy and fires three torpedoes all of which missed the target, she is depth charged but is undamaged.
25th September 1941 - Attacks a convoy and fires five torpedoes all of which miss the target.
1st October 1941 - Arrived Malta.

Fifth patrol - 20th October to 8th November 1941.
To patrol the Gulf of Sirte off Benghazi.
28th October 1941 - Sinks the Italian schooner Esperia (384 GRT) with gunfire North-East of Benghazi.
1st November 1941 - Depth charged whilst attacking a convoy of two ships. She later attacks another convoy with three torpedoes all of which miss the target.
2nd November 1941 - Attacks and fires two torpedoes at a minesweeper, neither of the torpedoes find the target.
8th November 1941 - Arrived Malta.

Sixth patrol - 22nd November to 13th December 1941.
To patrol in the Adriatic and later in the Ionian Sea.
25th November - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Attilio Deffenu (3510 GRT) east of Brindisi, Puglia, Italy.
13th December - Arrived Alexandria.

Seventh patrol - 1st January to 25th January 1942.
To patrol in the Ionian Sea and off the Gulf of Taranto.
10th January - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Fedora (5016 GRT) north-east of Cape Dukato, Greece.
25th January - Arrived Alexandria

Eighth patrol - 13th February to 5th March 1942.
To patrol in the Ionian Sea and the Gulf of Taranto passing to the North of Crete while en-route.
16th February - Attacked the German merchant ship Arkadia (1756 GRT) off Suda Bay, Crete, Greece. All torpedoes missed their target.
5th March - Arrived Alexandria.

It was during this patrol that two bombs were found on the casing on surfacing. These were removed by the First Lieutenant Lt. P.S.W. Roberts and Petty Officer T.W. Gould. For this action they both received the Victoria Cross.

Ninth patrol - 29th March to 22nd April 1942.
To patrol in the Gulf of Sirte.
9th April - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Gala (1029 GRT) west-south-west of Bengasi, Libya.
13th April - Torpedoed and sank the German army cargo ship Atlas (2297 GRT) south-west of Bengasi, Libya. She also sank the Italian lighter Pilo 210 (30 GRT) with gunfire in the same area.
19th April - Attacked the German barge F184 with gunfire west of Derna, Libya.
22nd April - Arrived Alexandria.

Tenth patrol - 6th May to 28th May 1942.
To patrol in the southern Adriatic.
16th May - Attacked an enemy convoy. Three torpedoes were fired but they are sighted by the ship they were fired against and evaded. Thrasher is counter attacked with depth charges but manages to escape without damage.
19th May - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Penelope (1160 GRT) north-west of Monopoli, Italy.
28th May - Arrived Alexandria.

Eleventh patrol - 9th June to 4th July 1942.
To patrol the Central Mediterranean ranging from Tobruk to Tripoli and the Islands of the west coast of Greece.
23rd June - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Sant Antonio (1480 GRT) in the Gulf of Sirte.
29th June - Torpedoed and sank the Italian sloop Diana (1568 tons) north of Tobruk, Libya.
4th July - Arrived Alexandria.
6th July - Arrived Haifa for repairs sustained after being attacked in error by a British Swordfish aircraft .

Twelfth patrol - 29th August to 21st September 1942.
To patrol off Tobruk and Derna.
4th September - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Padenna (1589 GRT) north of Tobruk, Libya.
21st September - Arrived Beirut.

Thirteenth patrol - 6th October to 28th October 1942.
To patrol in the Aegean Sea.
12th October - Sank a captured Greek schooner with gunfire in the Aegean Sea, east of Cape Drepano, Sithonia peninsula, Greece. Sank another captured Greek schooner south-west of Cape Pinnes, Athos peninsula, Greece.
19th October - Sank the Italian tug Roma (130 GRT) with gunfire off Stampalia, Greece.
20th October - Torpedoed and sank the Italian merchant Lero (1980 GRT) between Symi and Rhodos Islands, Greece.
28th October - Arrived Beirut.

14th November - Departed Beirut for the UK via Malta to deliver stores.
22nd November - Arrived Malta.
24th November - Departed Malta for Gibraltar.
2nd December - Arrived Gibraltar.
6th December - Departed Gibraltar for the UK.
14th December - Arrived Falmouth.
17th December - Departed Falmouth for Portsmouth.
18th December - Arrived Portsmouth (Blockhouse).
20th December - Arrived Sheerness for refit at Chatham Dockyard.

6th May 1943 - Departed Sheerness for Portsmouth on completion of refit.
17th May - Departed Portsmouth for Dartmouth.

To the North-East of the Shetlands.
17th August - Arrived Lerwick.

Fifteenth patrol - 11th September to 3rd October 1943.
To tow midget submarine X5 to the entrance to the Alten Fjord in Northern Norway.
20th September - Deployed X5 for the attack on Tirpitz.
29th September - X5 having failed to make the rendezvous returned to Lerwick.
3rd October - Arrived Lerwick.
5th October - Arrived Holy Loch.

Assigned to training duties out of the Clyde, Londonderry and Scapa Flow.

7th February 1944 - Arrived Liverpool for refit at Cammell Lairds.
17th June 1944 - Refit completed, departed Birkenhead for Rothesey for trials and training.

Sixteenth patrol - 21st September to 1st October 1944.
Work-up patrol in the Norwegian Sea to hunt enemy submarines.
1st October - Arrived Holy Loch.

11th October 1944 - Departed Holy Loch for Far East.
12th December 1944 - Arrived Trincomalee.

Seventeenth patrol - 9th January to 2nd February 1945.
To patrol off the west coast of Siam.
22nd January - Sank four Japanese sailing vessels with gunfire of the west coast of Siam.
27th January - Sank three Japanese sailing vessels with gunfire of the west coast of Siam.
28th January - Sank three Japanese sailing vessels with gunfire and demolition charges of the west coast of Siam.
2nd February - Arrived Trincomalee.

Eighteenth patrol - 3rd March to 28th March 1945.
To carry out a special operation followed by a patrol in the Northern end of the Malacca Strait.
9th March - Carries out special operation 'Copyright'. A party of 6 is landed on the coast of Siam, north of Phuket off the Goh Gavai rocks.
16th March - Sank a Japanese sailing vessel with gunfire near Langkawi.
18th March - Sank a Japanese sailing vessel with gunfire near Langkawi.
19th March - Sank three Japanese sailing vessels with gunfire off Langkawi.
22nd March - Completed second 'Special Operation', picked up a party from Lalang Island in the Sembilan Islands group.
28th March - Arrived Trincomalee.

Nineteenth patrol - 14th April to 22nd April 1945.
To carry out a special operation in the Nicobar Islands area.
17th April - Landed a party
19th April - Retrieved party which it had previously landed at Kamorta Island (Nicobar Islands).
22nd April - Arrived Trincomalee.

Twentieth patrol - 25th April to5th May 1945.
To carry out a special operation off the coast of Burma.
1st May - Landed a party of 6 at Parker Island in the Mergui Archipaligo.
5th May - Arrived Trincomalee.

Twentyfirst patrol - 14th June to 27th June 1945.
To carry out a special operation.
19th to 21st June - Carried out Special Operation.
22nd June - Sank three sailing vessels with gunfire off the west coast of Siam.
27th June - Arrived Trincomalee.

Twentysecond patrol - 15th July to 1st August 1945.
To patrol off the East coast of Sumatra and West coast of Malaya.
25th July - Sank a Japanese sailing vessel with gunfire in the Lankawi area, northern entrance to the Straits of Malacca.
27th July - Sank four Japanese coasters and a Japanese sailing vessel with gunfire in the northern part of the Strait of Malacca.
1st August - Arrived Trincomalee.

29th August 1945 - Departed Trincomalee for the UK.
15th October 1945 - Arrived Portsmouth.

Decommissioned on 6 November 1945.
Scrapped at Briton Ferry, Wales on 9 March 1947.
