Attacked, torpedoed and sank the French ship General Bona-parte (2796 tons).

13th September 1943
Was attacked and depth-charged by American Liberator.

February 1944. Refitting in Port Said.
18th April, Attacked torpedoed and sank the Luneberg (5828 tons).

May 1944. Departed Malta for refit in UK.

Sportsman was loaned to the French Navy for anti-submarine training and renamed Sibylle in 1951.
She was lost without trace off Toulon on the 23rd September 1952.
